Big Red

Last Friday an confused elderly driver sideswiped Big Red, my Chevy pickup truck. (Nobody was injured) Big Red has been in the shop all week and I miss her dearly. Especially since the insurance company gave me a teeny weeny Toyota Tuna Can rental to use while she's in the shop. This week I realized I drive around this town with a Big Ass Truck Attitude. It's a different story when you're in a small car low to the ground. I hereby apologize for my previous attitude and any intimidation I may have purposely or unconsciously caused.

How it started

I hereby solemnly swear to change the names to protect the innocent, to display the names of the guilty, and to never let the whole-truth-and-nothing-but-the-truth get in the way of a good story. Every time my friend Rick asks me how's business going, I tell a funny, scary, horrible, humorous, incredible or interesting story. When I'm finished he always says the same thing, "You should write a book". I'm never going to take the time and effort to write a book, so this Blog seems like an easy Cheater Method for writing down my stories. Hopefully you will find them entertaining too. Some background... I am a licensed general contractor (residential builder) and strangely enough - I am a woman. The construction business looks a little different viewed through my eyes as you will see. I will tell you stories of clients, competition, employees, building officials, and construction sites, the good, the bad, and the funny.Enjoy!
