Vacation photos - architecture

From my vacation photos you'd think I went only on architectural tours. I love checking out the buildings, museums, churches and wonderous spaces I've read about, photos I've seen and buildings I've dreamed of walking through. I'm known to take photos of construction sites in foreign countries. Including photos of the hardwood floor restoration in Versailles, scary scaffolding in Mexico, cranes in New York. Some photos are taken with specific people in mind, knowing they'd like to see certain things that interest them about building.

How it started

I hereby solemnly swear to change the names to protect the innocent, to display the names of the guilty, and to never let the whole-truth-and-nothing-but-the-truth get in the way of a good story. Every time my friend Rick asks me how's business going, I tell a funny, scary, horrible, humorous, incredible or interesting story. When I'm finished he always says the same thing, "You should write a book". I'm never going to take the time and effort to write a book, so this Blog seems like an easy Cheater Method for writing down my stories. Hopefully you will find them entertaining too. Some background... I am a licensed general contractor (residential builder) and strangely enough - I am a woman. The construction business looks a little different viewed through my eyes as you will see. I will tell you stories of clients, competition, employees, building officials, and construction sites, the good, the bad, and the funny.Enjoy!
